Service Description

Peter has been teaching for over 20 years, and many of his students have achieved top positions in honor bands and orchestras. Peter has performed or recorded with the Helios Ensemble, guitarist Pat Martino, percussionist Zakir Hussain, drummer Walfredo Reyes Jr., guitarist Larry Coryell, and others. Peter teaches classical and jazz styles, emphasizing fundamentals, technique, performance, tone production, theory, ear-training, and improvisation. He received his Bachelor’s of Music degree from San Jose State University with a double emphasis in classical performance and jazz studies, and is currently working on his Masters of Music degree. Peter’s program is a little different than the other teachers: he provides a total of 5 hours of instruction per month, a mix of private and group sessions exclusive to his private students. Peter provides 3 to 4 hour-long group sessions per week for his private students only. Students are expected to attend 3 of these sessions per month, though they can choose to attend more. Peter also provides 1 hour-long group session each month covering the interests and level of each private student (also exclusive to private students). Any private student is free to attend any of these sessions, but should be at the level stated for that class. Cancellation Policy

For private lessons: If you need to reschedule, please contact your teacher at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson to be eligible for a free makeup. Group lessons are non-cancelable and non-refundable. If you're looking to discontinue your lessons, please notify your teacher and contact us 48 hours before the first of the month to avoid being charged.
